ABOUT SAL COGNETTI, JR., ESQUIRE
Attorney Cognetti focuses his practice on personal injury litigation. Over the years, he has utilized his 35 years of jury trial experience to bring justice to his wrongly accused clients, the oppressed, and clients who were injured as a result of the negligence of others. Attorney Cognetti not only serves as an advocate for his clients, but also as a counselor in all their legal matters.
Attorney Cognetti was appointed by Governor Tom Ridge to serve as a Judge of the Court of Judicial Conduct (2000-2004) and then was elected President Judge by the Court. Presently, he serves on the Disciplinary Board by appointment of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania (2006 to present).
Attorney Cognetti graduated from Fordham University in 1970 and the Georgetown University School of Law in 1973. Following law school, he was accepted into the Honors Program of the United States Department of Justice. From 1974 through 1979, he worked as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, with offices in Scranton, Pennsylvania and as Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, with offices in Philadelphia.
